Preparation steps

Combine flour, powdered sugar, ground nuts, cinnamon and salt, pile on the work surface and make a well in the center. Cut butter into pieces and arrange around the well. Add egg and rum to the well and chop everything with the dough scraper until crumbly, quickly knead with your hands to a smooth pastry. Shape into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap, refrigerate for 45 minutes.

Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out pastry on a lightly floured surface until about 3 mm thick (approximately 1/6 inch) and cut out circles (about 3 cm in diameter) (approximately 1 inch). Arrange on a baking sheet and bake in preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for about 12 minutes. Cool slightly and transfer to a wire rack, cool completely. Chop chocolate and melt over hot water bath, brush hlaf of cookies with chocolate and top with remaining chocolate. Brush the edges with chocolate and roll in coconut flakes. Top with chocolate dollops and place walnuts in the middle of eaach cookie. Dry cookies and serve.
