Herring fillets (Bismarck herring, each approx 80 grams)

1 Pot (with lid), 1 Teaspoon, 1 Small knife, 1 Large knife, 1 Cutting board, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Small pot, 1 Bowl, 1 Wooden spoon

Preparation steps

Scrub the potatoes and cover with water in a pot. Bring to a boil, cover and cook until knife-tender, about 20 minutes.

Drain the potatoes, peel them and let cool. Halve or quarter potatoes depending on the size and place in a bowl.

Peel the shallot and very finely chop.

Heat the broth, mustard and 3 tablespoons vinegar in a small pot, stirring to combine. Gently mix shallot with the potatoes, season generously with salt and pepper and allow to cool 30-40 minutes.

Meanwhile, rinse the radishes and cut into slices. Halve bell pepper, remove seeds, rinse, dry and dice.

Rinse the cucumber and wipe dry (or peel as desired), halve lengthwise and dice.

Rinse the dill, shake dry, pluck leaves and chop finely.

Mix the oil and prepared ingredients with the potatoes. Drain the herring fillets, cut into pieces and mix with the salad. Season with salt, pepper and remaining vinegar and serve.
