Coconut Apple Cake
Although they are not huge quantities, the coconut contains all the vitamins of the B group. The highest content of biotin is found in the coconut, which ensures firm nails, shiny hair and good skin.
Not every apple variety is suitable for a delicious cake. It should be aromatic and not disintegrate during baking. The classic is Boskop, but Elstar is also suitable with its aromatic, finely sour flesh. You can also use Jonagold or Cox Orange.

Beat the butter, salt and sugar until fluffy. Stir in eggs, the flour and baking powder and then the coconut.
Peel the apples, quarter, core and score the round sides.
Grease the springform pan and fill with the batter.
Arrange the apples in the batter and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake in a preheated oven (180°C) (approximately 350°F) for about 45 minutes.
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, remove from the pan and let cool on a wire rack. Serve dusted with powdered sugar and sprinkled with coconut.
