Preparation steps

Bring a large pan of salted water to the boil and cook the spaghetti for 10-12 minutes or until tender.

Meanwhile, heat the butter and oil in a large pan and gently cook the shallot and garlic until soft but not brown.

Add the clams and the wine, cover with a lid and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the clams have opened.
4.
Drain the spaghetti and add it to the clam pan with the parsley. Stir well, season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
