200 grams
Candied lemon (2-3 tbsp; finely chopped)
Candied orange (2-3 tbsp; finely chopped)

Preparation steps

1.

Grease a cake pan with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

For the batter, beat the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Gradually beat in the eggs. Mix the flour and baking powder. Sift some of the flour into the egg mixture. Stir in 4 tablespoons of milk. Continue until the flour mixture and milk are used up. Fold in the lime juice and candied fruit. Pour the batter into the pan and smooth. Bake for about 1 hour at 180°C (approximately 350°F), until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.

2.

For the decoration, mix the powdered sugar with lemon juice into a thick icing. Spread the icing over the cake and sprinkle with the candied fruit. Dust with powdered sugar. Let dry and serve.
