1 Baking sheet, 1 Bowl, 1 Small bowl, 1 Small plate, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Brush, 1 Rolling pin, 1 Hand mixer, 1 Parchment paper, 1 Kitchen towel, 1 Small pot

Preparation steps

Heat milk until lukewarm. Place flour in a bowl and make a well in the center. Mix together 3 tablespoons warm milk, the yeast and 10 grams (approximately 1/8 cup) sugar and pour into well. Cover and let rise for 15 minutes.

Melt butter in a small pot over low heat.

Add 30 grams (approximately 1/2 cup) sugar, remaining warm milk, melted butter and egg to flour around edge.

Beat flour mixture with dough hook of a hand mixer until smooth. Cover and let rise in a warm place until almost doubled in bulk, about 1 hour.

Meanwhile, chop pecans and mix cinnamon with remaining sugar.

Roll out dough on a floured surface to 30 x 30 cm (approximately 12 x 12 inch).

Brush dough lightly with maple syrup. Spread nuts and cinnamon- sugar evenly over dough.

Roll up dough into a log and cut with a very sharp knife into 2 cm (3/4-inch) slices.

Place cinnamon rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover with a lightly floured kitchen towel and let rise for 20 minutes. Bake rolls on second rack from bottom of preheated oven at 200°C (fan 180°C, gas: mark 3) until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Serve warm.
