For the dough
250 grams Pastry flour
125 grams butter
50 grams sugar
1 pinch salt
1 egg
For the filling
800 grams Apple
4 Tbsps ground almonds
50 grams butter
50 grams sugar
50 grams raisins
1 Tbsp Cherry brandy
350 milliliters Apple juice
vanilla pudding mix
½ tsp cinnamon
100 milliliters whipped Whipped cream

Preparation steps


For the dough, mix flour, salt and sugar and pile on a work surface and make a well in the center. Mix egg and 2-3 tablespoons lukewarm water in center. Place butter in small pieces evenly over flour mixture. Chop all ingredients with a knife until mixture resembles crumbs. Quickly knead with hands until dough is smooth. Shape into a ball and wrap in plastic and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.


Grease tart pan. On a floured surface, roll out dough in a thin layer. Line tart pan with dough, pierce several times with a fork and sprinkle with almonds. For the filling, peel apples, remove cores and cut into thin slices. In a saucepan, heat butter and sauté apple slices briefly. Sprinkle apple slices with 30g sugar (approximately 1/8 cup) and cook for 5 minutes. Rinse raisins, pat dry and sprinkle with cherry brandy. Add apple juice to pan and bring to a boil and stir in pudding powder. Pour apple filling over dough and decoratively arrange apple slices, Sprinkle with raisins. Bake in preheated oven at 220°C (approximately 425°F) for 40 minutes. Mix cinnamon and remaining sugar and sprinkle over warm apple tart. To serve, cut into 4 pieces and garnish with whipped cream.
