500 grams ground almonds
5 egg whites
450 grams powdered sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 centiliters Cherry brandy

Preparation steps

1.

Beat the egg whites until stiff. Gradually stir in the powdered sugar.

Set one cup of the mixture aside for the glaze.

3.

Fold the almonds, cinnamon and kirsch into the egg white mixture. Quickly knead into a dough and cover. Chill for about 1 hour.

Spread sugar on a work surface. Roll the dough out to about 4 mm thick. Using cookie cutters, cut out stars (in different sizes). Evenly coat with the glaze and place on a lined baking sheet. Allow the cookies to dry overnight at room temperature.

5.

Preheat the oven to 160°C (approximately 325°F). Bake the cookies for about 8 minutes. Let cool and serve.
