60 grams softened butter
50 grams cream cheese
80 grams sugar
1 egg yolk
1 packet Vanilla sugar
180 grams Pastry flour
¼ teaspoon Baking powder
2 tablespoons melted butter
4 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Preparation steps

1.

Mix the softened butter with the cream cheese. Stir in the sugar, egg yolk and vanilla sugar. Fold in the baking powder and flour.

Roll out the dough between two sheets of plastic wrap. remove the plastic wrap and brush with the melted butter.

Mix the cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle the mixture on the dough (setting aside about 1 tablespoon).

Roll the dough into a large roll with the cinnamon sugar on the inside. Wrap the dough in plastic and chill for about 3 hours.

Cut the roll into 5 mm (approximately 1/4 inch) thick slices and place the cookies on a lined baking sheet. Bake for about 12 minutes at 180°C (approximately 350°F). Remove from the oven and let cool. Serve dusted with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
