Christmas Tree Cakes
- For the cakes
- 250 grams soft butter
- 250 grams sugar
- 5 eggs
- 500 grams Pastry flour
- 3 teaspoons Baking powder
- 25 grams cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 150 grams Dark chocolate (chopped)
- 125 milliliters milk
Recipe will yield 3 cakes when using a conical metal pan with a capacity of 1 liter (approximately 4 cups).
For the cakes, beat butter until fluffy and gradually beat in sugar and eggs (mixture should remain very fluffy). Gradually beat flour, baking powder, cocoa, cinnamon, chocolate and milk into butter mixture.
Grease pan with butter and dust with flour. Pour about 1/3 of the batter batter into pan and bake in oven preheated to 180 ° (approximately 350°F) for about 60 minutes. Invert pan to remove cake onto a wire rack and let cool. Repeat with remaining batter, finishing with 3 cakes.
For decorating, stick candies in a scallop pattern in cakes. Dust cakes with powdered sugar to serve.
