350 grams Pastry flour
200 grams cold butter (chopped)
175 grams sugar
3 egg yolks
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 pinch salt
1 teaspoon Baking powder
For the decoration
400 grams powdered sugar
6 tablespoons lemon juice
Food coloring
Marzipan
Sugar pearls

Preparation steps

1.

For the cookie dough: Combine all ingredients and quickly knead until smooth. Shape into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and chill for about 2 hours.

Roll out the dough on a floured work surface until 3-4 mm (approximately 1/8 inch) thick and cut out 4 cm (approximately 1 1/4 inch) stars or other Christmas shapes.

Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven (180°C) (approximately 350°F) for about 8-10 minutes, until golden brown. Remove and let cool.

For the decoration: Mix the powdered sugar with lemon juice together until smooth. Tint with food coloring and then spread over the cookies.

5.

Tint the marzipan with food coloring and use to decorate the cookies along with the sugar pearls.
