Chokeberry Syrup (Aronia Syrup)
Rinse the berries and remove from the stems. Transfer to a saucepan along with the sugar and 600 ml (approximately 2 1/2 cups) water and bring to a boil. Simmer for around 20 minutes over medium heat. Remove from the heat and pour through a sieve lined with cheesecloth.
Let drain overnight. The following day, squeeze the berries to remove as much liquid as possible. Distribute between small bottles and store in a cool, dark place.
