Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Chop the walnuts coarsely. Chop the chocolate and melt over a hot water bath. Whip the eggs with sugar and salt until fluffy. Add the butter and stir until smooth. Stir in the flour and cocoa powder until combined. Fold in the chocolate, walnuts, and currants. Transfer to a baking tray (8 x 12 inches) lined with parchment paper, smooth the top, and bake for about 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack. With a serrated knife, cut into about 24 squares (approximately 2 x 2 inches) then cut again diagonally into triangles. Serve dusted with powdered sugar.
