Ingredients

5 tablespoons
100 grams
ground almonds
100 grams
1
Egg (beaten)
200 grams
cold Butter (cubed)
Pastry flour (for rolling out)

Preparation steps

1.

Combine the flour, cocoa powder, almonds, sugar and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the center and add the beaten egg. Distribute the butter over the top and mix everything together with a pastry cutter or two forks. Quickly knead with hands to form a smooth dough. Shape into a ball, wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

2.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

3.

Roll the dough out onto a floured surface to about 0.5 cm (approximately 1/4 inch) thick. Cut into snowflake shapes using a cookie cutter and place onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
