Chocolate Pudding with Sliced Almonds
In a saucepan, heat 4-5 tablespoons of the milk with chocolate pieces, stirring constantly, until melted. In a bowl, whisk egg yolks with sugar until foamy. Stir in cornstarch and remaining milk. Add hot milk and chocolate mixture, stirring constantly. Return mixture to pot and cook over low heat until thickened. Remove from heat, whisk briefly, and divide pudding among small glasses. Let cool and solidify.
Toast almonds in a dry frying pan. Remove from pan and let cool. To serve, sprinkle almonds on puddings.
