Chocolate Pear Cake
Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Line the baking pan with parchment paper.
Peel and quarter the pears. Remove the core and cut the quarters into slices. Drizzle with the lemon juice.
Coarsely chop the chocolate. Melt over a hot water bath with the butter. Allow to cool slightly. Cut the marzipan into small cubes. Beat the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar until creamy. Stir into the chocolate butter. Mix the flour, cocoa, baking powder and 50 grams (approximately 1/5 cup) of nuts. Stir into the chocolate mixture. Fold in the marzipan. Pour into the baking pan and spread evenly. Top with the pear slices and sprinkle with the remaining nuts. Bake for about 20 minutes, so that the dough is still slightly damp. Remove and let cool.
Cut into pieces and serve.
