Preparation steps

1.
Preheat oven to 350º F. Coat madeleine pans with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa powder, and ground nuts. Add dry mixture to butter-sugar mixture, mixing thoroughly.

Press dough into prepared pans and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cookie comes out clean and the edges are turning slightly brown. Cool completely.
4.
Melt chocolate in the top of a double boiler, set over barely simmering water. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Dip narrow end of the cookie into the warm chocolate, and place on wax or parchment paper and let dry. Store covered in an airtight container.
