Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

Beat the butter, sugar and 1 pinch of salt until frothy. Stir in the coarsely chopped chocolate, vanilla seeds and cinnamon. Mix the flour and baking powder. Knead the flour mixture, nuts, raisins and egg into the butter mixture. Form the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic and chill for about 1 hour.

Use a teaspoon to heap portions of the dough onto a lined baking sheet. Roll each portion into a ball. Bake for about 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool. Coarsely chop the dark chocolate and melt over a hot water bath. Decorate the cookies with the melted chocolate, let dry and serve.
