Preparation steps

1.

Melt chocolate in a double boiler. Separate eggs. Beat butter with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Gradually add melted chocolate, egg yolks, almonds and flour. Whip egg whites and sugar until stiff and fold into batter. Preheat the oven to 210°C (approximately 410°F). Fill a deep baking pan or casserole dish with about 1.5 cm (approximately 1/2 inch) of water.

2.

Grease bundt pan with butter and sprinkle with sugar. Pour dough into pan, put pan in the water and bake for about 50 minutes. Meanwhile, melt remaining chocolate in a double boiler and stir in 2-3 tablespoons of cream. Remove cake from oven and garnish with chocolate sauce and sugar flakes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
