For the chili con carne
1 onion
1 garlic
1 green chile pepper
600 grams mixed Ground meat
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon Tomato paste
400 milliliters Beef broth
4 tomatoes
salt
freshly ground peppers
400 grams Kidney beans (canned)
2 sprigs oregano
For garnish
Sour cream
chile peppers
Tortilla chip

Preparation steps

Peel the onion and garlic and finely chop. Rinse the chile, remove the stem and finely dice. Sauté the ground beef in hot oil until crumbly. Add the onions, garlic and chile and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the tomato paste and deglaze with the stock. Rinse the tomatoes, core and dice. Add to the chili, season with salt and pepper and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Rinse the beans and drain. Add to the chile and simmer for another 15 minutes. If necessary, add more broth. Add the oregano and season with salt and pepper.

Distribute between serving bowls and garnish with sour cream, chiles and tortilla chips.
