Preparation steps

Knead the flour, salt, sugar, vanilla, butter and eggs into a smooth dough. Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Wrap the dough in plastic and chill for about 3 hours.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Form the dough into 5 cm rolls. Slice the dough into 1 cm pieces and place the cookies onto the baking sheet.

Bake for about 15 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack. Cut out a template in a star shape using parchment paper. Place the template on each cookie and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve immediately.
