Preparation steps

For the cake: Place the flour in a mixing bowl and make a well in the middle. Mix the yeast with 1 tablespoon of sugar and a few tablespoons of warm milk in the well. Gently knead together. Cover and place in a warm place for about 15 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let rest for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to the size of the baking pan. Place on the baking sheet. Press two indentations in the dough.

For the topping: Place the butter flakes into the wells. Spread the almonds evenly over the cake surface. Sprinkle with the sugar and place the cake in the bake for 40-45 minutes. Take the cake out and let cool briefly.

To serve: Cut into pieces.
