4 slices Whole Wheat Bread
4 Herring (ready to cook, skinless, each about 100 grams)
1 onion
1 Tbsp Pastry flour
vegetable oil (for cooking)
salt
freshly ground peppers
1 Tbsp honey
1 splash lemon juice
20 grams butter

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse herring fillets, pat dry and brush with melted honey. Season with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Bake in preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for about 8-10 minutes.

Peel and chop onion. Mix with flour. Heat oil in a pan and cook onion until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

3.

Spread bread with butter and top with fish. Sprinkle with onion and serve.
