Bread with Fried Liver and Apple
Rinse the apples, peel, core and quarter and cut into thin slices. Peel and finely chop the onion. Heat the butter in a pan and fry the liver on all sides about 1-2 minutes. Remove the liver and then sauté the onions with the apple slices on all sides, about 4 minutes on low heat.
Rinse the lettuce leaves. Spread the cream cheese on the bread and cover with the lettuce leaves. On each, place two pieces of liver and top with the apple-onion mixture. Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
