Compared to other sweet baked goods, yeast pastries require relatively little sugar and we can therefore enjoy them without a guilty conscience. The sweet baguette rolls contain calcium-rich milk and butter, which we can use for normal blood coagulation and strong bones.

Place flour into a bowl and form a well in the middle. Crumble yeast, sprinkle sugar in, and mix with a little milk. Mix yeast mixture into flour, cover and let sit for 20 minutes. Melt butter in remaining milk.
Little by little, add in milk and salt and mix everything into a smooth dough. Cover dough and let sit for about 1 hour until volume has doubled. Grease a baking sheet with butter, knead dough again vigorously and divide into about 16 equal pieces.
Roll pieces into long, thin bun shapes with a diameter of 3 cm (approximately 1 inch). Sprinkle with a little flour, cover and let rise for 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F) and bake bread for 25 minutes until golden. Serve warm or let cool.
