500 grams Beets
1 l Vegetable broth (or meat broth)
1 onion
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
400 grams Green cabbage

Preparation steps

Peel the potatoes and beetroot. Cut the potato into cubes, rasps beetroot and let both boil with the broth in a pot. Peel the onion and chop. Heat oil in a pan and saute the onion until translucent over low heat. Rinse the cabbage, trim and cut into thin strips. Add cabbage strips and broth along with the potato to the onions, and simmer for about 45 minutes over low heat.

Stir in the ground cumin and coriander, and season with salt and pepper. Transfer to plates. Serve garnished with sour cream and dill. Serve with bread if desired.
