Preparation steps

1.

Rinse and trim the currants. Remove from the vine and mash with a fork. Mix the currants with the brandy, sugar, and wheatberry in a wide-necked bottle.

Seal tightly and leave for 3 weeks in a dark, cool place. Shake the mixture occasionally to ensure everything is infused. Pass the liqueur through a fine strainer into decorative bottles.
