250 grams Marzipan
75 grams powdered sugar
1 egg white
30 grams Pastry flour
50 grams blanched, ground almonds
125 grams blanched, whole almonds
For decorating
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons Rose water

Preparation steps

Mix marzipan with icing sugar, egg white, flour and ground almonds and knead into a smooth dough. Slice whole almonds in half lengthwise. Divide dough and roll into cherry-sizedballs. Press each flat, place 3 almond halves across top and place on a lined baking sheet. Bake in center of a preheated oven (160°C)(approximately 325°F) for 15–20 minutes.

For decorating, boil together sugar and rose water and let cook for 1 minute. Brush over cookies and leave to dry on a wire rack. Let cool and serve.
