Berry, Bread, and Butter Bake

Beat the eggs and place in a wide shallow dish.
Heat the milk with half the sugar as it begins to simmer, remove it from the heat and place in a wide shallow dish.
Preheat the oven to 220°C | 425F | gas 7. Butter a gratin dish and cut the slices of brioche into 2 triangles.
Quickly soak the bread first in the egg, then in the sweetened milk. Arrange the slices of bread in the
gratin dish and interlace them with raspberries.
Mix any remaining egg and milk together and pour around the slices of bread.
Cook in the oven for 15 minutes until the brioche begins to turn golden brown.
Sprinkle with the remaining sugar and the fennel seeds before serving.
