Baked Sweet Semolina Dumplings
Preheat a convection oven to 130°C (approximately 250°F). In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar. Stir in the quark and semolina.
Boil the milk with salt and vanilla sugar and pour into a baking dish. Using 2 tablespoons, form dumplings with the semolina mixture and gently drop into the milk.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake on the middle rack of the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes, until the dumplings are golden brown.
Serve with cherry compote.
