10 slices Panettone (about 2 cm thick; or a medium-sized panettone)
4 eggs
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
2 tablespoons Vanilla sugar
200 milliliters Whipped cream
200 milliliters milk

Preparation steps

Preheat oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Brush a baking dish with butter.

Spread panettone slices with butter. Place slices, in a single layer, in baking dish. Beat eggs with the powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, heavy cream and milk. Pour mixture through a sieve over panettone slices until covered.

Bake until panettone slices are golden-brown, 40-45 minutes. Transfer to plates and serve each with a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
