100 grams softened Butter
75 grams Cane sugar
2 tablespoons White vinegar
2 Egg yolks
2 tablespoons Water
125 grams Pastry flour
100 grams ground almonds
Butter (for greasing)
100 grams Apricot jam
Powdered sugar

Preparation steps

Combine butter, sugar, vinegar, egg yolk and water and beat until creamy with an electric hand mixer, then stir in flour and almonds.

Roll dough into small balls and place on well-buttered baking sheets. Dip the handle of a wooden spoon in cold water and press small depressions in the balls. Fill each with heated jam.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for about 10 minutes, until lightly browned. Remove and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
