For the tart dough
200 grams Pastry flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
120 grams cold butter (chopped or grated)
70 grams sugar
1 egg
For the filling
7 ripe Apricot
75 grams brown sugar
30 grams butter
50 milliliters Apricot liqueur
75 grams slivered almonds

Preparation steps

For the tart dough: Combine the flour, baking powder and sugar, make a well in the center, distribute the butter around the edges and beat the egg in the well. Mix together until crumbly then quickly knead until smooth. Shape into a disc, cover with plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Rinse the apricots, pat dry, halve and pit. In a pan, melt the sugar with the butter, add the apricots then deglaze with the liqueur. Add the almonds and toss to combine. Set aside. On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the dough slightly larger than te baking dish and use to line with greased baking dish.

Arrange the apricots, cut-side down, over the dough and pour the caramel and almonds over top. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve lukewarm.
