1 tablespoon
2 centiliters
1 generous pinch
2 tablespoons
2 tablespoons
Pastry flour (for work surface)
Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Preparation steps

1.

Mix flour with 50 grams (approximately 1/7 ounces) of ground almonds, salt, sugar, egg and softened butter (up to 1 tablespoon), quickly knead into smooth pastry. Shape into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap, refrigerate for 30 minutes.

2.

Butter baking pan.

3.

Rinse apples. Core one apple and cut into thin slices. Peel remaining apples and quarter, core and cut into slices. Mix with lemon juice, Calvados, cinnamon and powdered sugar.

4.

Roll out pastry on a floured surface and line baking pan with it so that 2-3 cm (approximatley 1 inch) edges hang over the pan. Sprinkle with remaining ground almonds and spread with quartered apple slices. Top with round apple slices and sprinkle with flaked almonds. Cut the rest of butter into small pieces and sprinkle on top of apples. Fold in the edges and press gently. Bake in preheated oven at 180°C (approximatley 350°F) for about 35 minutes or until golden brown.

5.

Remove from the oven, cool briefly and dust with powdered sugar. Serve warm or cold.
