Healthy, because

Even smarter

Eggs and sour cream make the apple pie with yeast dough wonderfully juicy and bring a good portion of protein into the cake. The sour cream also scores with calcium for healthy bones and teeth. The immune system does not go out empty either, because the vitamin C contained in the apples strengthens the body's defences.

With a simple trick you can bring a great twist to the apple pie: Simply add 1 tbsp. cocoa powder to the crumbled dough - it's something special for the eye and of course super delicious for all chocolate lovers!

Preparation steps

1.

For the dough, add a little sugar to the milk, then dissolve the yeast into it. Add the flour, sugar, salt and eggs, knead, cover and let rest in a warm place.

2.

For the covering, peel the apples, remove their cores, cut into cubes and mix immediately with lemon juice.

3.

Pour the mixture onto a lined baking tray and spread evenly with floured hands. Sprinkle with the breadcrumbs and top with the apple pieces. Combine the sour cream, sugar and eggs, and pour evenly over everything. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for about 10 minutes.

In the meantime, mix the flour and sugar with melted butter to form a crumbly streusel. After the first baking time, spread the streusel over the cake, and bake again for about 35 min, until golden brown. Allow to cool, cut into pieces and serve.
