Preparation steps

For the dough, beat the butter and sugar together. Add the eggs one at a time.

Add the flour and knead into a smooth dough with your hands. Cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Grease the pie dish.

For the filling, combine the flour, cinnamon and sugar in a bowl. Peel the apples, quarter, core and cut the quarters into slices. Mix with the lemon juice and raisins.

Divide the dough in half and roll out each half on a lightly floured surface. Press one into the baking dish.

Mix together the flour mixture and the apples.

Pour the apples into the baking dish. Cover with the top dough and press the edges together to form the crust.

Prick the dough with a fork a few times. Brush with cream and bake until golden brown 50-60 minutes.

Dust with powdered sugar and serve at room temperature.
