For the dough
300 grams
1 pinch
100 grams
freshly grated Nutmeg
150 grams
cold Butter
1 tablespoon
Pastry flour (for dusting)
For the filling
800 grams
sour Apples
3 teaspoons
5 tablespoons

Preparation steps

For the dough, mix the flour, salt, sugar and nutmeg. Cube the butter and knead into the flour mixture. Add the milk and knead until the dough is smooth. Divide the dough into 2 parts and roll out on a floured surface. Grease a pie dish and line with half of the dough.

For the filling, rinse the apples, peel, halve, remove the seeds and cut into slices. Mix the apple slices, sugar and cinnamon. Spread the apples on the dough. Cover the apples with the remaining dough and squeeze the edges to form a seal. Bake for about 40 minutes at 180°C (approximately 350°F). Remove from the oven, sprinkle with sugar and serve warm.
