- For the dough
- 2 packets frozen Puff pastry dough (each about 330 grams)
For the dough, thaw the puff pastry.
For the filling, peel the apples, quarter, core, dice and sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix with cinnamon, sugar and raisins.
Roll out dough into 2 rectangles on a floured surface. Place one sheet on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread the apple mixture on the bottom sheet of dough.
Beat the egg. Brush edges of the bottom dough with egg. Place the other rectangle of dough over the apple filling. Fold the edges over slice the top with several times in parallel lines. Brush the top with the remaining egg. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C (approximately 400°F) until golden brown, about 40 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
