Blackberries are dark red to shiny black and have a deep sweet and sour taste. Particularly interesting: the berries provide a lot of certain plant dyes (anthocyanins), which can prevent cardiovascular diseases.
Compared to jams, fruit spreads often have a higher fruit content and less sugar. It is therefore worth taking a look at the nutritional information and list of ingredients!
Preheat oven to 160°C (approximately 325°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Beat egg white until stiff. Gradually add sugar and salt and continue to beat until egg whites are very stiff. Melt marzipan in a small saucepan with lemon juice, let it cool slightly and stir with coconut flakes among beaten egg whites. It should be a soft, pliable dough and if necessary stir in a little flour. Using two damp teaspoons, pile small heaps and set apart on prepared baking sheet with a little distance. In the middle of each, make a small well (using for example a with cooking dipper) and add a little jam into it. Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from baking sheet, leave to cool and serve.
