We love making items that are traditionally purchased in a grocery store at home, it helps cut down on waste and ensures we know each and every ingredient that is going into it. We have compiled a list of our favorite DIY recipes for eating and personal care and we are challenging you to try a new one every day for the next five days.

Shopping list for the week:

  • Cereal (oats, buckwheat groats, millet) [3 cups total]
  • Nuts [1 cup]
  • Liquid sweetener (such as honey, maple syrup, or agave [1 cup]
  • Olive oil [¼ cup]
  • Salt
  • Seeds (such as sunflower or pumpkin) [1 cup]
  • Spices (such as cinnamon or vanilla)
  • Avocado
  • Honey [1 tablespoon]
  • Plain yogurt [1 tablespoon]
  • Raw almonds [1 cup]
  • Raw nuts (almonds, pecans, peanuts, and a variety of seeds all work well) [2 cups]
  • Grass-fed, unsalted butter [1 pound]
